BOOKS

  • The Holy Bible I believe the Bible is the Holy and Inspired Word of God, by which all authority and guidance can be found on how to live the life we were created to live. While there are many translations, I have always preferred the NASB/ESV, as they are the most literal translations.

  • The Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson “Harmful habits, negative thinking and irrational feelings can all lead to sinful behavior and keep you in bondage. If you feel trapped by any of these strongholds in your life, know that you are not alone - you can break free. “

  • As a Man Thinketh by James Allen “dealing with the power of thought and particularly with the use and application of thought to happy and beautiful issues”

  • Tender Warrior by Stu Weber “King. Warrior. Mentor. Friend. A Tender Warrior is what every woman dreams of for a husband, every boy desires to be, and every man yearns most to develop within himself. An upfront, straightforward style that challenges readers to realize God’s plan for men”

  • Wild at Heart by John Eldredge “Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heard of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a “nice guy”. Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be”

  • When Work and Family Collide by Andy Stanley “Is your occupation also your preoccupation? Let’s face it. With all the demands of the workplace and all the details of a family it’s only a matter of time before one bumps into the other. And many of us end up cheating our families when the commitments of both collide.”

  • The Love Dare by Stephen Kendrick “Love Dare is a non-fiction marriage-related book. It is a 40 day Christian devotional designed to strengthen marriages. Each daily devotion includes scripture, a statement of principle, the day’s ‘Dare’ and a journalling area and check box to chart progress”

  • The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman “Falling in love is easy. Staying in love - that’s the challenge. How can you keep your relationship fresh and growing amid the demands, conflicts, and just plain boredom of everyday life? The 5 Love Languages is as practical as it is insightful. Whether your relationship is flourishing or failing, Dr. Gary Chapman’s proven approach to showing and receiving love will help you experience deeper and richer levels of intimacy with your partner.”
